As the role of the multinational enterprise (MNE) in the economic development of countries grows, a focus on how MNEs influence the process of regulatory and legislative structures has developed among scholars of international political economy. About the author

YUSAF H. AKBAR is Professor in International Business at CERAM, Sophia-Antipolis, France. His main teaching and research interests are in international trade and the politics of multinational enterprise strategy. He has also published Global Antitrust: Trade and Competition Linkages and his work has appeared in journals including Global Governance and Thunderbird International Business Review.
