About this book

Sebastián explores the experience of statebuilding and constitution making after violent conflict, using the failed reform of Dayton in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a case study to reflect upon the fundamental questions of post-war statebuilding, reform and the role of local and external actors.

About the author

Sofía Sebastián Aparicio is currently a Fritz Thyssen TAPIR Fellow at SIPRI, North America. She has held different positions at various universities and worked as a Political Adviser for the Spanish Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2010. She has contributed to a number of books on EU democracy promotion and conflict management, and has published numerous articles on Bosnia and Herzegovina.
